The Dependent KITAP for Indonesia allows foreign dependent children to reside in Indonesia. Applicants must have held the Dependent KITAP for 4 consecutive years to apply for KITAP. The Dependent KITAP is valid for 5 years with options to extend it for lifetime. The visa offers significant benefits like easier renewals, long-term residency, and potential eligibility for Indonesian citizenship after several years. The processing time is about 6-8 weeks.
Important: You can only apply for KITAP indirectly. First, you need a KITAS for several years with the same sponsor and then you can apply for the KITAP.
Requirements
- Original passport with at least 36 months validity
- Scan of the ID page of your passport
- KITAS with at least 3 months remaining at the time of submission
- The bank statement of Independent KITAP shows a minimum balance of USD 2,000 or equivalent
- Previous/actual E-KITAS (I-IV)
- Passport information page and KITAP stamp of Independent KITAP holder
- E-KITAP and KTP of Independent KITAP holder
- Marriage certificate of parents (translated by a sworn translator in English or Indonesian)
- Birth Certificate (translated by a sworn translator in English or Indonesian)
- SKTT (Temporary Residential Registration)
- Company Document
Procedure
- You can directly add the KITAP to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout for payment.
- After checkout, you will be redirected to a form where you can enter all relevant data for the KITAP application and upload the required documents.
- We will check your data and documents and get back to you within one business day via email or WhatsApp.
- If everything is correct and we have received your visa fee payment, we will arrange to pick up your original passport.
- Then we will submit your document and passport to the Immigration office.
- For the conversion from KITAS to KITAP you have to go for a personal visit to the immigration. Once we get the date and time of your appointment at the immigration we will let you know.
- After taking photos and fingerprints, we will wait until the process is done and the new KITAP is issued.
- We will inform you when the process is done and arrange to drop your original passport and KITAP.
The total processing time is about 6-8 weeks.
